Hi, I’m Shelley Reed, founder of SVR Personal Training.

My journey into health and fitness began long before I became a personal trainer. Sport has always played a central role in my life, shaping not only how I train but also how I support others. Growing up, I competed in netball and cross-country running, eventually representing my county at the Kent Cross-Country Championships.

After developing a strong interest in health, fitness, and movement, I qualified as a Level 3 Personal Trainer, which marked the start of my professional career in the fitness industry. Building on this foundation, I went on to study Sport and Exercise Science, gaining a deeper understanding of how the body moves, adapts, and responds to training. For over 10 years, I have had the privilege of supporting people from all walks of life in improving their health, fitness, and confidence.

My relationships with clients focus on safety and injury prevention, creating a supportive, non-judgmental environment where you feel listened to, understood, and guided at a pace that works for you.

My coaching style is empathetic, personalised, and holistic. Lasting change comes from consistency, education, and realistic lifestyle habits rather than extremes or quick fixes. While goals may evolve, my focus remains on helping clients develop the confidence and knowledge to sustain progress long after their initial aims are achieved.

In addition to working closely with my clients, I continue to maintain physical fitness, with a current focus on resistance training. Ongoing professional development remains essential, and I regularly update my knowledge through further education, courses, and industry research to ensure the guidance I offer is current, evidence-based, and safe.

I am deeply passionate about helping people lead happier, healthier lives, and I take great pride in supporting my clients not only in reaching their goals but also in sustaining them.
